The Tweed Learning Federation commenced on June 1st 2024 following a successful partnership between Norham St Ceolwulf's & Berwick St Mary's CE First schools the previous year. This partnership had already ensured that our children received the best possible teaching and educational opportunities.

In order to continue receiving such benefits and also, to secure the future of both schools, the staff and governors decided to strengthen this arrangement by federating. This meant the governing body of each school came together to form one governing board. In so doing, we now work together to prevent unnecessary duplication of effort, support the drive for further efficient and effective use of resources and better value for money, work together efficiently and sustainably to raise standards and increase opportunities for our children and our staff.

Our federation is made up of two wonderful schools, each with their own individual personality but with the same vision, who work together, learn from each other and enable more time and resources to be dedicated to the business of teaching and learning.

Our aim is for our children to leave our federation with the skills to be lifelong learners who have academic skills and emotional resilience to take on any challenges that they may face.
